Biological Dentistry in Southern California for Out-of-State and Global Patients

Biological Dentistry of Southern California welcomes qualifying patients from across the United States and around the world. Many individuals travel to our Irvine office seeking comprehensive, metal-free, root canal-free biological dental care delivered in a structured and efficient format.

Our practice is experienced in coordinating care for:

  • Out-of-state patients

  • International patients

  • Fly-in and drive-in patients

  • Individuals seeking comprehensive treatment sequencing

We understand that traveling for dental treatment requires thoughtful planning. Our team provides guidance to help make the process organized, predictable, and comfortable.

Convenient Southern California Location

Our office is located approximately seven minutes from John Wayne Airport (SNA) in Orange County, California. Additional major airports serving Southern California include:

  • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

  • Ontario International Airport (ONT)

  • Long Beach Airport (LGB)

  • San Diego International Airport (SAN)

This accessibility makes our practice convenient for both domestic and international travel.

The Fly-In Patient Process:

1. Preliminary Cost Estimate and Patient Application (at home)

Prospective patients begin by completing the New Patient Application and requesting a preliminary cost estimate. This estimate is non-binding and based on the information provided. Final diagnosis and treatment planning require in-person clinical evaluation and diagnostic imaging.

2. Pre-Operative Evaluation (Day 1)

On the first clinical day, patients undergo:

  • Comprehensive examination

  • CBCT (3D) imaging when indicated

  • Clinical photography and documentation

  • Diagnostic assessment

  • Development of a sequenced treatment plan

If appropriate, pre-operative or treatment day protocols may be initiated. All recommendations are individualized and based on objective findings and informed consent.

3. Treatment Day (Typically Day 1 and/or 2)

Treatment is performed according to the finalized treatment plan. Depending on clinical needs, this may include:

  • Removal of infected or compromised teeth

  • Surgical procedures

  • Metal-free restorative procedures

  • Temporization where indicated

Procedures are sequenced to prioritize structural stability and healing considerations. Treatment decisions are made only after diagnostic confirmation.

4. Post-Operative Evaluation (Typically Day 3)

A follow-up visit allows us to:

  • Evaluate healing

  • Review post-operative instructions

  • Implement additional recovery protocols when appropriate

Some patients elect to remain additional days for continued monitoring and supportive care.

How Long Should You Plan to Stay?

Most fly-in patients remain in Southern California for 2–5 nights, with 3–4 nights being most common. The recommended length of stay depends on treatment complexity and individual health considerations.

A companion is recommended for surgical cases but is not mandatory.

Lodging & Transportation

While patients are responsible for their travel and lodging arrangements, our team is happy to provide general guidance regarding:

  • Nearby hotels

  • Transportation options

  • Local amenities

  • Post-operative recovery considerations

Our goal is to help you plan efficiently while maintaining privacy and independence.
